Hello folks,
If you've been following my blog, you'd have known by now about the various rounds of shopping that I did during my 2 week stay at Germany, which I shared HERE and HERE. Though this was my third visit there, the place was new to me as I'd stayed at a different place in my past two visits. Neverthless, I had real good time there and rather quite peaceful stay too except for the last day's mayhem when my flight got cancelled and I had to travel through trains with so much luggage that my hands had to take 2 days to heal to come back to normal.
My office was actually at Esslingen Am Neckhar but I got my hotel accommodation at Hotel Am Buchwald - Berkheim. The hotel was well equipped and quite comfortable, located at a residential area. There were houses, houses and more houses all around, and a lot of greenery. My bus stop was a 200 meter walk from the hotel at Jakobstrase, and I'd get it directly to Esslingen BahnhofPlatz from there (Bus 113).
For food, I had some disaster time after a while since I am not much fan of junk food, so whatever I was getting there wasn't suiting my taste buds and I spent most of my dinners munching apples, nectarines and nachos ;) . I usually used to have breakfast at hotel only which was quite good for 6 Euros per day, but became a lot stagnant and boring after a while. My lunch was a good treat daily as I'd have it at office and I really loved the food, salads, pastas and steamed vegetables.
