Following my success with Caudalie's now cult Vinosource S.O.S Thirst Quenching Serum I was excited to try some nicely sized samples of other products in the Vinosource range when I bought the Serum as part of a gift set a few months back. One of the items was the Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet.
I received a 10ml size of the moisturiser that lasted me quite a while. I started using it in the early fall, a time when my skin was less dehydrated than it usually is during the colder months, so I used it as a night cream. It worked fabulously! I would wake up with comfortable, noticeably plumper and healthy skin. My skin was also less dehydrated throughout the next day. Things that would usually make my dehydrated skin very uncomfortable, would noticeably less so now. I of course ordered the full size as soon, or even before actually, my sample size ran out, which was after about 1 months use.
The regular sized product is continuing to impress me. It isn't the most exciting cream in the world. It doesn't come with outlandish claims and breakthrough science, it simply vows to moisturise your skin, and it does. But perfectly so. It doesn't irritate, I have noticeably less breakouts with the ones I do get certainly not being from this. It keeps skin radiant and fresh and is just all around great at the simple things that it is supposed to do.
Personally I am not looking for my creams to do much more than be moisturising moisturisers. When I feel my skin needs extra "help" in a certain area I look to serums, masks and peels. At the moment I am using the Vinosource Moisturising Sorbet as a night cream when I'm using heavier serums, or when my skin is starting to break out and I want something simple. I'm also using it as a moisturiser during the day when my skin is feeling extra dry and in need of more help with the hydration levels than usually. It works perfectly as both and has proven to be a nice base for makeup as well.
It's hard to refer to the Vinosource Moisturising Sorbet as a must-have skincare product when it doesn't do anything all that special. You can certainly find other non-irritating moisturisers that do similar things. Personally though, I really enjoy having it on hand. I love the brand in general, their no-parabens and more natural approach, and I like how it makes my skin feel. It's quickly become somewhat of a staple in my little "ensemble" of skincare products as one to always count on when my skin isn't feeling exactly "right".
