Favourites: April 2012

These are products that I have used and loved this month. It could be new purchases or old re-discoveries. There won't always be one in every category, as this is not for what I've been using, but products that have really stood out and that has gotten me excited about make up and skincare. Sometimes I might include things from other categories if I feel it is worth a mention, but not always.

Skincare (and Haircare)
- Veet Hair Minimising Body Lotion
I've used this before after buying it in London and then couldn't find it again. I stumbled upon it again this month in Norway and picked it up in a nano second. Have been using it since and surely, less hair! Amazing stuff!

- Garnier Body Intensive 7 Days Hydrating Body Lotion with L-Bifidus
Got this at a bargain price of 1.99 Euros at H&M. I happily thought they priced it that cheap, but when I later returned to pick up another they'd changed it to 3.99, bummer. Still, at 3.99 this is a great body lotion. This is super hydrating while still absorbing very quickly, love this stuff!

- Institut Esthederm Reflets De Soleil Sun Sheen Intense Tan Self-Tanning Face Cream - click here for review
I've already reviewed this stuff and I am still loving it to keep my SPF'ed face still looking glowy and healthy!

- Redken Extreme Anti-Snap
This stuff has saved my hair from one of the biggest hair disasters of all time.. More information to come later with a new series on how to deal with hair destroyed by a hairdresser!

- Mario Badescu Silver Powder
I've looked and looked and almost purchased this so so many times thinking there's just no way.. None of these pore shrinking/unclogging products seem to work. But then I finally just took the plunge, honestly, at 13.80 Euros what was I waiting for? A more in-depth review to come, but in short: it works and it's amazing!

Makeup
- Yves Saint Laurent "YSL" Teint Radiance Foundation
This used to be my one and only foundation a few years ago. Feeling nostalgic I bought it again on my latest trip to Marseille and I have been loving it, it truly makes my skin glow! Anyone that misses Chanel's Pro Lumier should check this stuff out. Though the Chanel is still my favourite!

- Loreal Super Liner Luminizer in Black Amethyst/Hazel Eyes
I've been loving using this purple-ish liner with a semi natural eye and a stronger berry toned lip. It really pulls the make up together! Also the liner is so easy to use and stays on all day!

- Yves Saint Laurent "YSL" Flash Radiance Skincare Brush
Another old favourite I decided to repurchase. This primer is brilliant. Makes my skin oh-so glowy, hides pores and imperfections and keeps my face semi-matte (if you have oily skin, this is not the product that will keep the oils at bay!). My complain is still the annoying brush that comes with it, but I think I have seen it available without the brush? They didn't have it where I bought it, but I will look for it next time. Now if only they would release the Perfect Touch foundation without the brush..

- Urban Decay Naked Palette
Another month I can't seem to put this palette down. I love it especially as it is so convenient for travel. I'm still using the shade 'Naked' through my crease for a really natural everyday look and have also been loving 'Sin' paired with other pinks for a fresh spring look.

- NARS Laguna
I am kicking myself for not getting this sooner.. that is all I have to say. You've all heard and read about this many times over before, all I have to add is; it's all it's hyped up to be, if your on the fence, get it! It's the perfect summer investment!

- Yves Saint Laurent "YSL" Touche Eclat Radiant Touch
I've tried enough of these highlighting pens for quite a while and none of them measure up to this literally golden wonder. I will never stray again... (at least for a while..).

- Chanel Blush Horizon De Chanel Soft Glow Blush
Bought this from Chanel's Spring 2012 collection in February and surely it's been getting some love now that spring has truly arrived! I love pairing this with Laguna for a bright pop of colour that makes me look very glowy and fresh. It's also lovely on it's own. I've been using the top colours with the white stripe through mostly.

- Yves Saint Laurent "YSL" Rouge Pur Couture Vernis A Levres Glossy Stain in 13 - click here for review
My second shade and it's just as brillliant as the first. I am definitely going to start collecting these!

- Estee Lauder Pure Color in 01 Modern Mercury
I am one of the lucky ones that managed to get my hands on one of these! It's just as brilliant as it's cracked up to be and this has been getting so much love from me, it's been my go-to highlighter ever since. I apply it with a Mac 188 and love the results!
